The key to creating your prosperous life is to align with your gift, your brilliance, your light. To do this, you must clear the gunk that has accumulated and covered up your knowledge of and trust in your gift.

The “gunk” shows up as fear, overwhelm, procrastination, feeling stuck, and more. This gunk keeps you from sharing your gift with the world.

Dear Soul-Inspired Friend:

Picture this: you’re the light keeper of a lighthouse that sits at the top of a rocky cliff. Its windows are caked with mud, grime, and sea salt. Inside, the light is on, but only scattered beams can be seen through the layers of gunk.

Your job is to make sure anyone who needs the light can see it and be safely guided.

You have three choices.

• You can try to amp up the light to make its blaze burn brighter, so it can be seen through the grime.
• You can recruit dozens or hundreds of your friends to come stand outside the lighthouse with flashlights on foggy evenings.
• Or, you can simply clean the windows.

As a business owner, you are in a remarkably similar situation with similar choices:

You are the light keeper of your personal brilliance. The stronger you allow this brilliance to shine, the easier people who need your gifts and talents can find you. Remember, as humans, we are basically transmitters, sending vibrations out to the Universe which then sends experiences back that are a match to the vibration.

The more you are in the vibration of your brilliance; the more people can easily find and hear you.

However, instead of vibrating solely in your gift, chances are you are also vibrating with the accumulated “mud, grime, and sea salt” that comes up in your life in the form of old stories, beliefs, and memories. This sends conflicting messages to the Universe and stops your forward progress.

Does any of the following sound or feel familiar: I want to take my business to the next level and have a prosperous life but…

• My family has to come first.
• If I focus on myself, I’ll let others down.
• If I share my gift, people might laugh at me.
• I need to work hard to deserve my money.
• I need to be careful not to let anyone else feel bad.
• I need to be responsible and work hard.
• I don’t have enough time.
• I don’t have enough energy.
• I’ve worked so hard and haven’t seen any results.
• Better not get too big for my britches.
• What if I out earn my partner…my parents?
• I’m afraid to speak in front of hundreds of people.
• I don’t really need any money to be happy.
• Money will change who I am.
• I can have either money or happiness.

If so, you are sending out conflicting messages to the Universe: I want to serve through my gift, but…

You have three choices. You can expend a lot of energy pushing through these (unconscious) beliefs and thoughts, pushing hard to make your light feel bigger and stronger (hint: this is what you have been doing).

You can try marketing technique after marketing technique that you can never fully complete due to fear, overwhelm, or frustration.

Or, you can simply clean the windows.

You can clear your whole mind~body~spirit of the gunk that covers up your brilliance.

Once those windows are clean, you are in alignment with your brilliance. As you align with your brilliance, now you are in alignment with your inspiration, with your service for the world, with your prosperity. Now your prosperity can truly begin to flow.

Here are some real life examples of what happens when “gunk” is getting in your way:

• You constantly look for the next way to try to market your business, but nothing brings you much success.
• You know there are certain steps you could take, but you always find a reason not to take them.
• You find yourself caught up in fear and what ifs (what if this program doesn’t fill, what if I can’t bring in the revenue, etc.).
• You feel like you’ll never have enough time to do what you need to do to be successful.
• You stay stopped for days or weeks because you don’t know the best first step to take.
• You make a decision and then stop yourself in your tracks with second-guessing.
• You find yourself waiting until just the perfect time, or the copy is perfect, or you have the perfect website in order to act.
• You are feeling stuck.
• You feel like you’ve done all you know how to do, but you still aren’t where you want to be.
